I’ve always loved Rembrandt’s The Prodigal Son. I loved it even more when I read Henri Nouwen describe how, upon his return, the son rested his hands upon the shoulder of his Father who was always waiting for his arrival. And so, this song, “Waiting for You”, inspired by this powerful story and my experience as a Father, represents my efforts to always be there, waiting. Here’s to love!
